Seg,ik ben nog eens op de site van duvel geweest en ... jawel duvel is méga hard aanwezig op de Gentse feesten.. Aangezien ik sowieso van plan ben om tijdens één of beide WE’den te passeren, kunnen we misschien met een groepke gaan,

Gentse Feesten 2004
Duvel will spread its wings again from July 17th till 26th at the Emile Braunplein in Ghent. Duvel will treat its public with a festive program that will go on for 10 days and 10 nights: jazz concerts by young talent and reputed names in the morning and afternoon, salsa and merengue in the evening and child animation.
Jazz concerts
Like every year, the Duvel Droomschip welcomes daily concerts by the cream of Belgian jazz artists. The artists are often recruted between the participants at the Jong Jazz Talent Gent contest for young jazz talent (see below)

Jong Jazztalent Gent (young jazz talent)
For 10 days, Duvel Moortgat offers young jazz talent a podium. Nine groups compete for the title of "young jazz talent". Not easy, as their performance is judged by a jury of independent jazz professionals. But the first prize is definitely worthwhile: a concert at the famous Jazz & Sounds festival in Ghent.

Duvel Dansfolie
Dance till you drop to the tropical rythm of Salsa and Merengue at this year's Gentse Feesten. The groups Helado Caliente and Grupo Caribe have an appointment with you between 8.30 pm and 22.30 pm. Before, from 8 pm till 8.30 pm, salsa teachers Zita and Jésus will warm you up with the basics of both dances (daily, except for 22, 24 and 25 July).

Child Animation: 1,2,3,4 hoedje van... (animation in Dutch)
While you are enjoying your jazz concert, 2 assistants from the municipal museum for contemporary art SMAK will make your children's day. Central theme is fashion: Under the professional supervision of the SMAK, they will create paper hand bags, hats and clothing from old newspapers and comic books. At the end of the day, you will be invited to your children's parade.

Daar drinken we een Duvel op
Michel, ons erelid heeft mij beloofd dat hij in de zomer een Duvel drink organiseert in Knokke op het strand
